At Made Paper Co, we believe beautiful wrapping shouldn't cost the earth. Every sheet of paper we print on is made from recycled materials and is fully recyclable, so your gift looks gorgeous and leaves a lighter footprint.

Our paper, explained

We print on 100gsm uncoated recycled paper. Here's what that actually means:

• Recycled: The paper is made from post-consumer recycled fibres — giving existing materials a second life instead of cutting down new trees.
• Recyclable: Once your gift is unwrapped, the paper can go straight into your kerbside recycling bin. No guilt, no landfill.
• Uncoated: No plastic coatings, no laminate, no glitter. Just beautiful, clean paper that's kind to the planet.
• 100gsm: A satisfying weight that feels premium and wraps well — because sustainable shouldn't mean flimsy.

Why it matters

Conventional gift wrapping is one of the most wasteful parts of the gifting experience. Most wrapping paper is coated in plastic or foil, making it impossible to recycle — and in New Zealand alone, tonnes of paper like this ends up in landfill every year.

More that's recyclable

Our cards, envelopes and gift tag twine are all made from recycled and recyclable paper, and so is our packaging where possible, including the cardboard boxes we use for shipping to customers and retailers. The PET plastic sleeves that our gift tags come in are also recyclable, so be sure to pop them all in your recycling bin when you dispose of them.
